Cleaning beer lines is an important part of maintaining a draft beer system. Beer lines can become clogged with yeast, bacteria, and other debris that can affect the taste and quality of the beer. Cleaning attachments such as cleaning pumps, cleaning rings, and cleaning kits can be used to clean beer lines.

The cleaning process typically involves shutting off CO2 to the beer system, untapping the couplers on the kegs, releasing beer from the lines by opening the faucets and allowing excess pressure and beer to dispense into a bucket until the beer flow comes to a drip. Then, a cleaning attachment such as a cleaning pump or cleaning ring can be attached to each coupler on the kegs. The cleaning solution is then pumped through the beer lines using a hand pump.
