Equipment Application Guide
1. Triple scale hydrometer and 250ml Plastic test jar
This hydrometer has 3 scales – specific gravity, potential alcohol content and BRIX (sugar content of a solution). For beer, we are interested in the Specific gravity reading.
- At the beginning of the fermentation, take a small beer sample in the 250ml Plastic test jar and dip the Triple scale hydrometer into it. Note the specific gravity reading – call it OG.
- After the recommended fermentation window as said in the recipe, repeat the above step. This reading will be FG.
- Calculate the Alcohol percentage with this formula: (O.G. – F. G.) X 131.25 = % ABV
If the ABV is in the range mentioned in your recipe, then the fermentation is complete and you can now proceed with bottling.
2. Single step cleanser
An easy and quick sanitizing solution. Doesn’t need additional rinsing.
Mix the entire packet of the sanitizer in 7.5 litres of warm water. Or you can mix the appropriate amount of sanitizer into suitable estimated amount of water according to your requirement. Sanitize all equipment you will use for bottling by soaking them in this liquid for 2 minutes.
Air dry the items and they are ready to use.
3. Pint Bottles, case of 12
Thick reusable glass bottles that are pre-sanitized.
Amber colour keeps the UV rays out and maintains the beer freshness.
4. Sanitizer rinser pump and Stationary Bottle Drying Tree
Handy machine to ease up sanitizing your bottles.
Fill the yellow base with the Single step No Rinse sanitizing solution and mount it on top of the stationary bottle drying tree.
Place an inverted bottle over the white stem and press it down to activate the jet. The high pressure jet stream will hit all around the inside of the bottle and reaches even tight spots.
The Bottle drying tree is made of strong plastic and has slots for 50 bottles. Invert the sanitized bottles on the pegs and air dry them completely before using them to bottle your brew.
5. Auto-siphon
Auto-siphon makes transferring wort from the fermenter and bottling a breeze.
Insert the auto-siphon into the fermented brew. Attach the other end of the hose to the bottle filler or place it in a bucket you are transferring your wort into.
Pump the auto-siphon inner tube from the top to start siphoning. You’ll see the beer filling up into the tube.
6. Bottle filler with spring tip
Simple press start spring tip bottle filler to bottle the beer without much effort and spilling.
Press the bottle filler spring tip against the bottom of an empty beer bottle. Allow the bottle to fill to the mouth. Remove the filler and move to the next bottle and repeat.
Do this till you bottle all your brew.
7. Beer Bottle Caps
Crown caps for beer to seal beer bottles after you fill in the beer. This is a pack of 100 pieces in golden colour with silicone lining for better sealing.
8. Bench Beer bottle capper
Height adjustable bottle capper with a non-slip base for the bottles.
Position the beer bottle on the base and move the capper to be just over the bottle mouth. Place the cap in the magnetic bell and bring the lever down to crimp the cap and seal the bottle. Do this with all the bottles.
9. Wall mount Bottle opener
Mount the bottle opener on the wall near your bar/refrigerator using two screws. This way, you’ll never need to search for a bottle opener again.
